Cyclamen Society Spring Show, RHS Wisley, 5th April 2003
Request for Society members to 'register'.
With the June 2003 issue, The Cyclamen Society is introducing a
redesigned journal with more colour throughout and with pictures accompanying the articles. In
addition, the editor and production team are grappling with newer technology
and it has become inevitable that the journal will be late. At the present time,
we would estimate that it will be one month late. We apologise for this, but
hope that you will find that it is worth the wait.
Please bear with us.
Further updates will be posted here if necessary, and we would ask that you do
not email the editor asking about progress, as this may delay things still
further.

The show was not well attended and the number of entries was poor. There were a number of excellent entries, but otherwise the standard was not generally high.
For the purposes of the show, the latest revisions to peloponnesiacum, vividum and rhodense taxa were ignored and they were still considered to be sub-species and/or varieties of C. repandum.
Trophies were awarded as follows:
Challis Cup - Awarded for
the best C. repandum in the show.
Awarded to Martyn Denney for C.
repandum ssp peloponnesiacum var vividum CSE92323, class
20
Peter Jones Plate - Awarded to the best plant in the
show.
