90/01

Near Derekoy in the Kirkareli region. Alt. 450m.
South facing site with overall slope of 1:4. Undulating area of deciduous light woodland predominately of Quercus, Fagus, Corylus and Cornus mas. Ground flora of Cyclamen coum, Daphne pontica, Euphorbia amygdaloides, Crocus chrysanthus, Verbascum, Digitalis. Soil type sandy loam with high percentage of stones

Near Derekoy in the Kirklareli region. ALt. 480m.
Southwest facing site with overall slope of 1:6. Old hazel coppice interspersed with oaks. Ground flora of Cyclamen coum, Daphne pontica, Primula vulgaris var. sibthorpii, Potentilla, Scilla bifolia, Euphorbia amygdaloides. Soil type similar to site 90/01 (sandy loam) but with lower stone content.

Demirkoy road, northeast of Yenikoy, Kirlareli region. 850m.
Site facing South-southeast with overall slope of 1:4. Undulating site of open mixed woodland with shade 50% for Cyclamen. Dominant species Pinus and Fagus with scrub of Rhododendron pontica and Rosa. Ground flora of Cyclamen coum, Primula vulgaris var. sibthorpii, Daphne pontica, Ruscus hypoglossum. Soil type sandy loam with deep leaf litter and humus surface layer, over metamorphic rock.

Along road to TV and radar stations above Belen, Hatay. Alt. 1300m.
West facing site with overall slope of 1:4 and 30% shade at Cyclamen. Heavily grazed site of patchy scrub, largely of Quercus coccifera. Ground flora of Cyclamen coum, Helleborus vesicarius, Erodium, Silene, Crocus. Soil type: Red loam with high percentage of stones.

West facing site with overall slope 1:3 and 10% shade at Cyclamen coum. Open site with occasional Quercus coccifera, Phlomis and Rubus. Ground flora of West facing site with overall slope 1:3 and 10% shade at Cyclamen. Open site with occasional Quercus coccifera, Phlomis and Rubus. Ground flora of Galanthus fosteri, Helleborus vesicarius and Geranium. Soil type: Very stony red loam and Geranium. Soil type: Very stony red loam

Sarimazi to Sogukoluk road, near Belen, Hatay. River bed below Sarimazi. Alt. 500m.
Steeply sloping site 1:3 overall gradient running down to stream. Cyclamen growing amongst rocks and dwarf scrub. Ground flora of Cyclamen coum, Teucrium, Silene, Viola, Senecio.

Kuzuculu road, near Dortyol, Hatay. Alt. 675m.
Site facing South-southeast with overall slope of 1:10 and shade 50% at Cyclamen. Woodland edge with scrub and young trees. Mainly woody species, Pinus, Platanus orientalis, Cornus mas. Ground flora of Cyclamen coum, Cyclamen pseudibericum, Primula vulgaris var. sibthorpii, Potentilla, Viola, Fritillaria, Salvia. Soil type: Sandy red loam with humus surface layer.

Between Eriklikuyu and Teknepinar near Karacay, Hatay. Alt. 300m.
North-east facing site of overall slope 1:1 and 70% shade at Cyclamen. Dense scrub of Quercus coccifera with Daphne collina and Laurus nobilis. Ground flora:Cyclamen coum. Soil type: Red stony loam.

Between Seldiren and Teknepinar near Karacay, Hatay. Alt. 300m.
North-east facing site with overall slope of 1:10 and 60% shade at Cyclamen. Scrub of Quercus coccifera and Myrtus communis with occasional Pinus. Ground flora Cyclamen coum. Soil type: loam over limestone with frequent rock protrusions to surface.

Near Hirbi, Hatay. Alt. 900m.
East facing slope of 1:6 overall gradient and 40% shade at Cyclamen. Undulating site with dominant woody species Quercus coccifera, Laurus nobilis. Heavily goat grazed with Cyclamen found only in shrub bases. Ground flora Cyclamen coum, Crocus chrysanthus, Viola, Erodium, Taraxacum. Soil type: red loam with frequent loose rock and protrusion.

Near Yayladagi, Hatay. Alt. 500m.
North-northeast facing site of overall slope 1:6 to 1:2 and 75% shade at Cyclamen. Wooded slope above road dominated by Pinus, with Myrtus communis and Quercus coccifera in more open areas. Ground flora Cyclamen coum, Crocus chrysanthus, Primula vulgaris var. sibthorpii, Ruscus aculeatus Salvia, Cistus. Soil type: loam over limestone with thick pine needle layer on surface.

Near Goznekcile, Hatay. Alt. 700m.
East facing site of overall slope 1:1 and 40% shade at Cyclamen. Steep rocky outcrop with sporadic Quercus coccifera. Ground flora: Cyclamen coum, Crocus kotchyanus, Iris unguicularis, Senecio, Silene. Soil type sandy loam with frequent rock protrusion and loose stones

Between Yeditepe and Karakosa, Hatay. Alt. 700m.
West facing site of overall slope 1:10 and 30% shade at Cyclamen. Open rocky slope with scrub of Quercus coccifera. Ground flora: Cyclamen coum, Crocus chrysanthus, Crocus ?kotchyanus, Ophrys, Viola, Teucrium, Anchusa. Soil type sandy loam with extremely high proportion of loose rocks.

Near Gozene, Hatay. Alt. 325m.
South facing slope of approximately 1:2 gradient. Open exposed site with limestone protrusions, with Cyclamen persicum in rock crevices and in open areas. Soil type red loam. Narcissus tazeta also growing in rocks.

Between Magaracik and Samandagi, Hatay. Alt. 100m.
Open exposed south facing site with Cyclamen persicum growing in rock crevices and in open.

90/14

Nur Dag old road, Gaziantep. Alt.1500m.
South-southeast facing site of overall slope 1:10 and 60% shade at Cyclamen. Gently undulating site of scrub and open turf areas. Ground flora: Cyclamen coum, Helleborus vesicarius, Crocus olivieri, Corydalis solida, Scilla siberica, Galanthus fosteri, Iris histrio. Soil type loam over limestone.

Densely wooded site with Fagus orientalis dominant and Corylus. Steeply sloped hollow with 75% shade at Cyclamen. Ground flora: Cyclamen pseudibericum

Near Kutlar, above Duzici, Adana province. Alt. 920m.
North-northwest facing site of overall slope 1:3 & 40% shade at Cyclamen. Wooded site with Fagus orientalis, Plantanus orientalis, Corylus. Ground flora: Cyclamen coum, C. pseudibericum, Ruscus aculeatus, Crocus ?adanensis, Anenome blanda, Primula vulgaris, Scilla sibirica. Soil type loam with deep litter layer.

Near Kutlar, above Duzici, Adana province. Alt. 700m.
North facing slope of overall 1:1 gradient and 50% shade at Cyclamen. Dense scrub covered slope with Quercus coccifera, Quercus sp., Ruscus aculeatus. Ground flora: Cyclamen coum, C. pseudibericum, Crocus chrysanthus. Soil type sandy loam with frequent loose rocks.

Between Kahraman Maras and Yenicekale. Alt. 1500m.
Cyclamen pseudibericum found sporadically along road at woodland edges. Tree species encountered included Abies, Cedrus libani, Fagus, Juniperus, Cupressus.

Near Kuyuluk, Hatay. Alt. 50m.
North facing site of overall slope 1:3 to 1:6 and 50% shade at Cyclamen. Even slope down to stream with Cyclamen growing in transition zone from Pinus woodland to Platanus orientalis and Alnus in stream bed. Other woody species present included Cornus mas, Daphne, Myrtus communis. Ground flora: Cyclamen coum, Smilax, Viola, Scilla, Silene. Soil type sandy loam with high proportion of gravelly stone, and frequent rock protrusion.

Denizciler - Akarca - Degirmendere Road, a few km from Iskenderun - Dortyol Road, Hatay. Alt. 920m.
Southwest facing site of overall 1:8 gradient and 50% shade at Cyclamen. Slope of light wood and scrub largely of Fagus orientalis and Quercus coccifera. Ground Flora: Cyclamen coum, Scilla sibirica, Potentilla, Viola, Fritillaria, Silene, Phlomis fruticosa. Soil type red loam over limestone with frequent rock protrusions.
